Cathedral Park Cohousing
What is cohousing?
Cohousing is a modern way of creating intentional neighborhoods, built on strong, supportive relationships between neighbors. Communities often form around shared values or a common purpose, and at Cathedral Park that purpose is simple: a neighborhood where everyone belongs, and where people truly know, care for, and support one another.
How It Works
Private homes, shared spaces
Cohousing combines private homes with communal shared spaces designed for connection, cooperation, and belonging. Each household is a self-contained, fully equipped home for private time, while shared areas like the common house, gardens, and outdoor spaces are where neighbors gather for meals, music, and everyday connection.
At Cathedral Park, every one of our 23 homes is universally designed, so the whole neighborhood works for every body and every stage of life.

Intentional Living
Choosing neighbors on purpose
At its heart, cohousing is about intentional living: choosing neighbors on purpose. It’s a neighborhood built not just of homes but of relationships, where you know the people next door, share resources, and build a better everyday life together. That’s what we’re building in Portland, OR, with construction starting in 2027.
Meet the neighbors
The best way to understand cohousing is to talk with the people building one. Join an info session and bring your questions.
