Building Traditions Together
Even as the members of Cathedral Park Cohousing are knuckling down for the work of building community and bringing our neighbors together, we are always looking for opportunities to celebrate the fun stuff! We know that when we are living together in Cathedral Park, we will have lots of opportunities to weave joy into our daily lives, and we’re already starting to sow some great seeds for future fun. These past few weeks have given us plenty of cause for celebration, as four of our members celebrated birthdays between June 25th and July 2nd!
Join us in sending a happy belated to Debbie, Adara, Alicia and Rebecca! You can meet them (and the rest of our growing community) here.
Doing the work, having the fun!
This summer we have had the opportunity to come out of our Zoom boxes as we start to gather in person a little more often, and it’s already clear that the Midsummer/Solstice/Birthday Bash is going to be a great kickoff for summer fun in Cathedral Park Cohousing. We have had visits from out-of-town Members Rebecca from Berkely, CA, and Robert and Lesha from Seattle, and Colleen has made the move from La Grande, OR to a rental in St. Johns, just a few blocks from our future home in Cathedral Park. Watch this space in coming weeks for their discoveries about the neighborhood!
Neighbors meet neighbors in Cathedral Park!
It’s been so refreshing to sit together around a picnic table in what will soon be our neighborhood park, and get to know each other better. We have a few more in-person gatherings for Members and Explorers plotted out over the coming weeks, and we’d love to have you join us! Come to an upcoming Learn About Session to find out how you can become an Explorer in this incredible community. We’d love to meet you! Click Here to sign up!
We’re also always watching the great neighborhood events for future meet ups, and we dream of the day we can just walk down the street to attend this like the FREE Cathedral Park Jazz Festival coming up July 15th-17th, 2022. The longest-running jazz festival west of the Mississippi is just one of the many events that makes Cathedral Park special. If you’re coming to town for the festival, let us know—maybe we can meet up for a site tour!
